Flaka Latifi

Flaka was awarded the Heart of Sarajevo prize at the Sarajevo Film Festival for her work as 'Qe' in the acclaimed feature film THE HILL WHERE THE LIONESSES ROAR, which premiered at the Director’s Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival in 2021. Directed by Luàna Bajrami, it was nominated for a Golden Camera award, and has gone on to win many accolades internationally - including a Fipresci Prize at the Warsaw International Film Festival. This year, she shot on Alban Zogjani’s feature film OKARINA/THE INSTRUMENT playing the lead role of ‘Vjosa’. Besides being a talented actor, Flaka is also an accomplished singer, and when she is not performing in front of the camera or on stage, she is an ardent painter and lover of sports. Originally from Kosovo, Flaka has a drama degree from the University of Pristina, and is a member of the National Theatre of Kosovo.
