Agata Buzek is one of Poland’s most acclaimed actors. She is the recipient of numerous acting awards including The Polish Academy of Film award, and she was a Shooting Star at Berlinale. She made her film debut in 1997 in KOCHAJ I RÓB CO CHCESZ (Love And Do What You Will) by Robert Gliński, and took part in the Italian production LA BALLATA DEI LAVAVETRI by Peter del Monte. In 2002, she acted in THE REVENGE which was directed by Andrzej Wajda. She has gone on to act across numerous international productions including: NIGHTWATCHING by Peter Greenaway; VALERIE by Birgit Moller; WITHIN THE WHIRLWIND by Marleen Goris, in which Agata played opposite Emily Watson; and REVERSE by Borys Lankosz. In 2013, she played the key role of ‘Cristina’ in Steven Knight’s REDEMPTION. She has worked closely with Luxembourger film director Anne Fontaine - recipient of the Golden Lion Award in Venice - on several of her films such as THE INNOCENT and BLANCHE COMME NEIGE. Other notable work includes: HIGH LIFE by Claire Denis in which she played opposite Juliette Binoche and Robert Pattinson; and PEARL by Elsa Amiel with Peter Mullan. Agata is also an accomplished stage actor, and since 2015, has frequently worked at Krzysztof Warlikowski's Nowy theatre in Warsaw. Her recent projects include the Ukrainian film DOVBOUSH by Olas Sanin; DUNE DREAMS by Samuel Doux; and THE ILLUSION directed by Marta Minorowicz.
